This is a calendar I designed for a Typography themed calendar. I created one for the month of november and my topic was Chinese calligraphy.

With these two ads I wanted to show two new products that sharpie was introducing. The one on the left is for a fabric marker and the one on the right is for a liquid pencil. I also included to exapmles of artwork done by Sharpie's new products.

This is the final sketch and design for my second logo. My idea was to fuse all three letters of my initials, T.E.L., into a single shape.

This is the final sketch and design of one of my two logos.
This is the template for a repackaging design for Energizer batteries. I didn't have a problem with Energizer's graphic design in particular, but i do have a problem with the package design for most batteries. I just used Energizer as an example. My goal was to create a package that is reusable to hold batteries that aren't being used. With most battery packaging, once you open it the packaging is as good as trash.
In this book i read that our brains evolve with music like animals in the wild evolve with their environment; so I recreated the evolution of man image, but only with the image of brains. I placed the brain on an EQ (equalizer) to give the impression of the brain evolving with music.

I ended up using the Sharpie tagline as the only tagline, but i think that this add would have made more sense if i had created my own tagline. Something like "Connected by Sharpie," which goes along with the stroke I placed around the images, which are pieces of art all created with Sharpie products.

Poster Idea

Not to recently but not too long ago, i went to a comedy show at Uptown Comedy Corner. I really enjoyed the show and the environment of the comedy club, so I've decided to do a poster for a show at Uptown Comedy Corner.

The Fedex logo is a little obvious. I chose this one because of its use of negative space between the E and the x, which create an arrow, which symbalizes go. Because Fedex is a shipping company with the name express in it, it makes sense to symbalize speed or action. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=Fedex+logos&hl=en&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=M37chCAyS-6FJM:&imgrefurl=http://symbolphotos.blogspot.com/2010/07/fedex-logo-photos.html&docid=G0mJXGdS_xsLXM&w=475&h=200&ei=1itZTrXtJJDQgAfS48CYDA&zoom=1&iact=rc&page=1&tbnh=87&tbnw=207&start=0&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=73&ty=38&biw=1264&bih=908 in its logo.

Company logo

I chose the chevron logo because i am also using this for my typography class, and because i have already done some research on it and became familiar with its history i thought that i  might as well use it. Basically what i found out is that the symbol along with the name represent longevity in service, which makes sense because cheveron is a service station.http://208.78.98.213/Fortune_500_Logos/Chevron

Company Logo

I chose the Chicago Cubs logo as one that i don't like. Its not that I'm not a Chicago fan, and I'm not i particular, its just that this logo doesn't make much sense to me. Nothing about this logo says Chicago, Cubs, or even baseball to me.

Company logos

I chose this logo of amazon.com because at first i thought that the image was suppose to depict a smiling face, but after a closer examination i saw that the smile was actually an arrow pointing from A to Z. Showing that amazon.com has everything ranging from a to z.
